Rosie Vanier – Neon Nightmare

I found out about Rosie Vanier back in December when I stumbled on her refreshingly modern holiday song "The Alternative Christmas Carol." Her new EP just came out and while it's a bit slower than her earlier songs, she's still got the edgy vibe that I love. Please come tour the States!

Above is the video for her new song "Neon Nightmare" which plays tricks with light and shadow to create some nice special effects. Neon Nightmare is available on iTunes.

NEO CALI by VEKTROID

VEKTROID is a young electronic music producer from Washington state who "makes interstellar hip-hop and other weirdo lo-fi music with a computer and sometimes a tape deck maybe."

NEO CALI is the latest album available on Bandcamp... "this is my ode to moody summers transfigured upon pattern diffused lifescapes and brushed off; to fabricated memories of teen hackers of the past and their elementary school computer labs buried deep within the oceans of time. to a new life, experienced more vividly through microsoft encarta and library terminals of the past. we miss you."

Monocle 24

I've been listening to Monocle 24 almost non-stop for the past week. The morning and afternoon news programs are a great start and end to the day and their music makes an excellent soundtrack for work. I'm also really enjoying The Urbanist with Andrew Tuck. Can't wait for the app next week!
